Before becoming part of the Practice Freedom Method, Steve Thompson was a private practice owner who felt like there was no way to get out from the heavy burden of running a business and doing everything, trying to be there as a husband and father to his two kids, and to be a treating PT.  In 2013, Steve realized that his company was dominating him and controlling his life, his emotions and his passion.  He was faced with a decision to either change his ways or leave the profession.  The clinics were in debt and he was basically making around $24k per year AS THE OWNER!

Now, after being a faithful student of the principles of the Practice Freedom Method for the first two years, he turned his business completely around to successful 6-figure profits, added a third clinic to his group, moved completely out of treatment and has more time and freedom to run his practice.  Now, Steve is sharing his experiences and using the principles to help other practice owners as an Accountability Coach in the PFM.  Quickly he learned that coaching, mentoring, and helping others was his true passion and is now wants to help as many owners as possible achieve the same results he has achieved.  He has taken his passion for coaching and mentoring and is pioneering a new approach to practice success through his ForLIFE program, an affiliate of the PFM, and a direct result and a true compliment to the PFM.

Steve is a former collegiate and professional football player who has been a PT for 22 years.  He attended University of California, Davis for his BS in Physiology and he earned his MPT from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA.  Utilizing his experiences with a college football team that won 20 consecutive conference championships, Steve loves to dive deep into how teams are formed and how they operate.  When Steve is not helping other owners, he loves to spend time with his wife Jeanine and his two kids, Cole and Ashley, as well as hiking and playing golf.  When not active, Steve can be found devouring books that enhance his learning in business and teams.

Michele Kehrer

After opening her own private practice in 2006, Michele Kehrer thought she had met the entrepreneur goal she envisioned since she was five-years-old. Within her practice, Michele found and fostered her own niche of vestibular rehabilitation along with orthopedic therapy that served to bring people back to doing the things that they loved. Despite this, Michele reached her lowest point in January of 2017 when she faced the fact that her business was showing mediocre results and arguably struggling. The passion for success and the desire for growth was present; the only thing missing was a platform to fully execute the business to its greatest potential.

To drive her business to be the best it could be, Michele became a part of the Practice Freedom Method. After implementing the method within her own business, the business started to flourish with increases in revenue and patient visits along with a new focus on team building and communication. Today, Michele is expanding her business with more staff and a new, bigger clinic to meet the demands of a business that keeps showing growth quarter after quarter. While Michele has stepped away from treating, she has found that she can coach owners into establishing a healthy business which gets them back to doing the things they love.

As a coach, Michele practices extensive leadership training. Michele is a proud member of Leadership’s Calling, The Conscious Leadership Group and is chairman of the Chicago 100+ Who Care chapter. Throughout her career, Michele has also assisted in research for the United States Department of Defense and NASA. When Michele is not coaching, she enjoys partaking in all that the Chicago restaurant and social scene have to offer.

 

Omaste Witkowski

Prior to joining the Practice Freedom Method team, Omaste worked as the COO/CFO of a custom lumber company in North Central Washington State. She is a creative problem solver who enjoys assisting, supporting and promoting entrepreneurs and business owners with their visions ideas and agendas. Omaste’s goal is always to help create successful solutions by utilizing extensive experience in all aspects of company operations, management, human resources and ongoing business processes, planning and development.

Omaste has always enjoyed a passion for websites, marketing, and technology, which has enabled her to develop a wide variety of skills ranging from search engine optimization, UX/UI design, writing code, inbound sales & marketing, graphic design, photography, technical project management, team building and professional networking.

The Pacific Northwest has been Omaste’s home and where she grew up, attended college and is raising her family. Originally from Washington State, she now lives in Boise ID. When she is not working, Omaste enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage children in the outdoors; hiking, mountain biking, swimming fishing and taking pictures. She is also an avid reader and enjoys a wide range of subjects including mystery novels, technical manuals and anything having to do with marketing or technology.
